The Sabres appear to be finishing the dance in round 2 with the guys that brought them there. Max Afinigenov will return after his surprising benching in game four. He is expected to replace Drew Stafford on the line with Roy and Vanek. It is a bit unfortunate for Stafford who has played a fair game, but it appears Lindy Ruff is going to go with his veterans in the face of the recent adversity.
Paul Gaustad is expected to replace Dan Paille in the lineup as well. This will be his first action since having an ankle tendon sliced in a freak play late in the season just nefore the trade deadline. Expect to see Gaustad significantly help the penalty kill and take many important faceoffs.

I can't believe they're scratching Stafford...
Stafford has played well, i think this is political.
I think there may be a split in the lockerroom as to how Ruff treated Max. Stafford was in the paper today saying he is fine with sitting for Gaustad's return.
Very political and the kid doesn't want to rock the boat.
