2007-2008 Schedules are here!

NHL released the schedules for this season today.
The big news is that the Ducks and the Kings will be playing a two-game series against eachother in London as the opener. Hopefully we will have some way of having those games covered here in the States and in Canada.
The Canes basically have a two-night opener on Wed. October 3 and then on Fri. the 5th. The first game is against the Canadiens! The Friday game will be against the Penguins, who we played 10 years ago nearly to the day.
It definitely proves to be an excited year for the Hurricanes and us fans as our 10th year anniversary!

Hehe, be sure to remember that the Habs will cream the Canes! :D

Oh, and Habs fans, I'm surprised our home opener is against Carolina as well and not Ottawa.

Yes suprising indead! We will play them 4 times all year, and twice in our first four games...Guess you can chalk up two easy wins for our boys! :P

HAH! Last year's Habs may be able to cream last year's Canes, but we pretty much have the first 82 games in the bag : ) LOL

I do think it sucks to not have your team at home for the first game though, but I guess it has to happen for someone!

It has to happen for exactly 15 teams a year, actually!

The Avs get Dallas for the home opener and I especially like the 5 game homestands to close out December and January.

The Avs are my favorite team out West, so I am very excited that we will see them here in NC once this year!

wow - there are 5 teams out of 30 in the league that the flyers aren't playing next year. THIS is why i don't like the new schedules.

'till next year columbus, chicago, st. louis, detroit, nashville...
